Gabriele Schabacher is Professor of Media Culture Studies at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and deputy spokesperson of the CRC "Studies in Human Differentiation". Her research focuses on the theory of media culture, media history, mobilities and infrastructures, cultural techniques of repair, and digital surveillance regimes.
