Former Academic Staff | Mobility and Sorting Processes
I was an academic staff member at the Leibniz Institute of European History from 2021 until the summer of 2025 and am working on my dissertation within the project B05 about “Legal-Bureaucratic Human Categorization in the Postwar Period: From 'Displaced Persons' to 'Refugee'". During the academic year 2023-2024 I was also the USC Shoah Foundation’s Robert J. Katz research fellow in Antisemitism Studies.
I studied history and German philology as well as educational studies at Georg-August-University Goettingen and at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Whilst studying I was a student assistant for a German medieval dictionary, the Arolsen Archives and the chair of theory and methods of history in Goettingen. After my studies I worked as substitute teacher as well as an academic staff member for the Federal Archive of Saxony-Anhalt where I created a teaching material on Jewish history of the state.
My research interests focus on the history of migration, Jewish history, Holocaust Studies and didactics of history.
